    • Corona regulation

      According to the decisions of the federal and state governments of Baden-Württemberg, almost all previously applicable corona rules have been abolished since April 3rd, 2022. Currently (as of April 22, 2022) there is no obligation to provide proof, tests or masks at the planned festival time. We will inform you about any changes in good time.

    • Does it make sense to ask the promotor for extra tickets after certain categories were sold out?

      No, it is not possible to ask for more tickets or a ticket exchange to ticket categories that are not available any more.

    • Can I give my ticket to anybody else?

      Yes, but all tickets except the extra tickets Rent-a-tent or Drinks @ Camping A are personalized and have to be changed in case you give it to someone else. These two categories show the name of the ticket buyer only. People holding a free- or guestlist ticket can’t give this ticket to another person. The ticket is unsaleable and the name can’t be changed.

    • Do I necessarily have to bring my printed ticket?

      Absolutely. Many people had trouble finding their tickets on their phone or couldn’t download them due to missing mobile network. This caused very long waiting periods in the past.

    • What is special about the VIP-Ticket?
      • - Fast Lane at the entrance
      • - Access to three stages incl. mainstage (behind and next to the stage) > limited
      • - Extra toilets in all VIP areas and one container with real restroom facilities behind stage 3
      • - extra VIP-Bars with special offers
      • - special fabric wristband
    • Am I allowed to bring a backpack or beach bag?

      For security reasons you are only allowed to bring a gym bag (max. size A3) or a small purse / bumbag (max. size A4). It is not allowed to bring any kind of backpacks. We indicate also that it is not allowed to bring any drinks and food.

    • Which items are not allowed at the festival venue?
      • - Food and drinks
      • - Any kind of backpacks
      • - Container with liquids in unusual sizes (e.g. nail polish remover, bodylotion, perfume,…) and gas car-tridges
      • - Deodorant (Spray) and Sunspray. Pumpsprays are allowed instead
      • - Bulky items (coolers, camping equipment, flags, chairs, etc.)
      • - Selfiesticks and GoPro Sticks
      • - Empty bottles other than foldable plastic bottles
      • - Any kind of weapons (knifes with a blade longer than 12cm, bats, irritant gas, brass knuckles, etc.) These weapons as well as its carrier will be reported immediately to the police.
      • - Items that could be dangerous but are not mentioned within the law on arms (kitchen knife, pocket knife, etc.)
      • - Medicine in unusual sizes and not in the original package
      • - Fire accelerant and firework as well as pyrotechnical items
      • - Marker, Eddings (except Make-Up)
      • - Animals except guide dogs
      • - Spray cans with gas, acidly, inflammable and dying substances

    • How many Camping A tickets do I have to buy?

      The Camping A ticket is valid PER person, is only valid with a festival or day ticket and is a personalised ticket. The Rent-a-Tent extra ticket is valid PER rented tent, is only valid with a Camping A ticket and is not a personalised ticket.

    • What things am I allowed to bring and not?
      • At Camping A it is allowed to bring:
      • • Tents and tent equipment
      • • Camping equipment like camping chairs and -tables
      • • Regular, small grills (One-way or small reusable grills)
      • • Camping stoves with small gas cartridges
      • • Every kind of food wrapping except glass!!!
      • At Camping A it is NOT allowed to bring:
      • • Pavilions
      • • Big sound systems
      • • Electric generators
      • • Glass
      • • Megaphones
      • • Weapons
      • • Drugs
      • • Firework
      • • Bonfires
      • • Furniture (sofas, armchairs, etc.)
      • • Any kind of construction material
      • At Camping B (Silbersee / www.camping-freiburg.net) and Camping C (Tunisee / www.tunisee.de) the individual house rules are relevant, please check the websites for more information.
      • We don’t want to cut down on your fun but we have to make sure (next to safety related reasons) that the neighborhood is happy and not bothered too much because of the noise.
    • How old do I have to be to visit Sea You festival?

      You have to be over 18 years old (no exceptions made).

    • Are there lockers at the festival or campsites:

      This year we are providing you with lockers from our partner MOBILE LOCKER in different sizes at Campsite A and at the festival. Rental times and locker sizes are selected at the terminal and paid conveniently without cash using an EC or credit card.

      Other advantages of Mobile Lockers
      • Unlimited access to your valuables during the specified opening times
      •You can charge your mobile phones, cameras, etc. with the VOLT locker.
      • As a "key" you will receive a QR code that you can easily share with friends.

      The lockers can be rented on site by the day. We recommend that you book your personal locker at campsite A in advance online, as capacity is limited. In addition, you can leave your belongings at the MOBILE LOCKER lockers at the festival (online advance booking possible).

      It is obligatory to bring an ID. In case you are not able to show it, it could be possible that you won’t get access to the festival in case security doubts your age.

    • Am I allowed to bring a backpack or beach bag?

    • Can I return my tickets?

      Tickets cannot be returned or refunded. Also you can’t return a ticket after the festival because you got sick and couldn’t redeem it. We suggest getting the ticket insurance if you are worried about these kind of circumstances. In case you like to upgrade your ticket to a higher (available) category this is possible.

    • Is it possible to buy more (extra) tickets even though I already have my ticket (e.g. tickets for Camping or beachcoins)?

      Yes, you can always buy other tickets later on. Just visit our ticket shop and pick whatever you want to add.

    • I don’t understand the difference between the price levels, what do the different numbers mean?

      The different price levels are based on the time someone buys the ticket. People who get the ticket in fall a year before the event pay much less than people who decide to come to the festival a couple of months or weeks before. The later it gets, the more expensive is the ticket. The benefits are the same!

    • Can I give my ticket to anybody else?

      Yes, but all tickets except the extra tickets Rent-a-tent or Drinks @ Camping A are personalized and have to be changed in case you give it to someone else.     • Is there going to be a reentry after leaving the festival ground?

      Everybody carrying a two day festival-ticket or a ticket including camping is allowed to leave the area and come back in. Guests with day-tickets (Sat. or Sun. only) won’t be able to come in twice.

    • Do I necessarily have to bring my printed ticket?

      Absolutely. Many people had trouble finding their tickets on their phone or couldn’t download them due to missing mobile network. This caused very long waiting periods in the past.

    • Can I buy my ticket for the Pre- and Aftershowpartys ahead?

      No, there will only be a box office.

    • Are there any specials about handicapped people?

      Everybody who needs assistance which is attestable in the severely handicapped pass marked with a B will get one ticket for free for the escort. The own ticket must be regularly paid. Please send an email to team@seayou-festival.de with a scan of your severely handicapped pass. Arriving at the festival you have to go to the guestlist showing your ID, your severely handicapped pass and your own ticket. After-wards your escort will get a wristband. Without getting in contact with us before it is not possible to re-ceive a free ticket.
      We provide toilets for handicapped people but please notice, that not every area at the festival site is completely wheelchair accessible, for example the stage access for VIP guest. Because of the safety in-structions and emergency routes it is not possible to sell VIP tickets to wheelchair users.

    • Can I charge my phone at the festival?

      Yes, you can charge your phone at stage 7 (to be paid with cash)

    • Are there any lockers at the festival area?

      No, only at Camping A. For further information please check the Camping FAQ. You can book the locker ahead online.

    • Which accommodation options are there?

      You can stay overnight at one of our three campsites (A, B or C).

      At a later date, we will also offer hotel rooms in our official Sea You Partner hotel (anticipated from the beginning of December, information will follow).

    • Am I allowed to bring any food or drinks to the festival area?

      No, it is not allowed to bring any food or drinks.

    • Is there vegan or vegetarian food?

      We do have some caterers that offer vegan and vegetarian food.

    • Am I allowed to sleep in my car?

      No, unfortunately this is not possible, because there is no infrastructure on the parking lot. Our security staff will check the area regularly.

    • Does the festival take part if it is raining?

      Then we talk about an act of nature beyond control. The festival takes generally part come rain or shine as long as the promotor can take the responsibility for it. In case there are any risks for someone’s body or health foreseeable the event will immediately not be continued.

    • What happens if…?

      … I damage something?
      Every guest who breaks something at the festival venue or campground is liable for it.
       
      … I lose my wristband?
      Please make sure that you don’t lose it. If so you won’t get a new one and in case the promotor or securi-ty finds out about you not wearing the wristband you’ll be banished from the festival venue.
       
      … I lost something?
      If you lost something you can ask for it at entrance which means, that this is also the place you can turn something in in case you found something. If your lost item is still not there you can write an email to team@seayou-festival.de after the festival.

      … I got robbed or something got stolen?
      Every guest is responsible for his or her own belongings. We suggest leaving all valuables that are not desperately needed at home or at least in your car.
       
      … something happens to me?
      Entering the festival venue and especially taking a bath in the lake is on your own risk.
      The promotor’s contractual and legal liability for its own and other people’s actions is restricted to an act of gross negligence. Of course there is a first aid team present.

    • What does cashless mean?

      You can only pay with your festival wristband at the food, drinks and merchandising stands. There is a chip attached to your festival wristband that can be loaded with credit. There will be no cash or tokens! Please bring an EC/credit card for the Mobile Locker or buy the locker online in advance.

    • What are the advantages of cashless payment?

      The queuing times at the food, drinks and merchandising stands are reduced. You don't have to carry a wallet around with you and you can even go swimming with the chip on the festival wristband. If you still have credit after the festival, you can simply transfer it back online from home (from Wed. July 20th, 2022, 6:00 p.m.).

    • How can I charge my festival wristband?

      We recommend you: online in advance at

      or at the various top up stations (loading terminals) on the festival site.
      We recommend that you purchase online credit in advance: you don't have to wait in line at the terminal on the festival site, you can start right away!

    • How does the online purchase of credits (Beachcoins) work?

      You go to: https://shop.paylogic.com/859bd1b076bf405d8d71c89f7ee5e3c8/extras and select the one you want amount off. After payment you will receive a voucher. You bring this voucher with you to the festival entrance and show it together (!) with your ticket (printed out or digitally on your mobile phone as a screenshot).

      The credit will be loaded directly onto your festival wristband. Note: You can simply transfer the remaining credit back to yourself online after the festival!

    • Are there different top up terminals on the festival area?

      Yes! There are cash terminals and debit/credit card terminals. Cash terminals can only be used to top up with cash. Only card payment is possible at EC/credit card terminals. The different terminals will be clearly marked.

    • How do I top up credit at the top up terminal?
      • with CASH:

        You hold your festival wristband to the sensor. Then you pay in a ticket (The ticket you deposit will be fully booked on your festival wristband. No change will be paid out!). Then hold your festival wristband to the sensor again. The credit is now topped up. These steps will also be legible on the terminal. Note: After the festival, you can simply transfer the remaining credit back online from home!
        For credit information, simply hold the wristband to the sensor.

        To top up with CASH, only use the CASH terminals marked for this purpose

        Step 1: Select top up
        Step 2: Hold the festival wristband to the sensor
        Step 3: Insert one or more bills into the terminal
        Step 4: Confirm amount
        Step 5: Hold the festival wristband to the sensor again
        Step 6: Celebrate!

      • EC/CREDIT CARD TERMINAL:

        You hold your festival wristband to the sensor. Then you select the amount at the terminal. Push the EC/credit card (all common card providers are possible) into the terminal and enter the PIN. Then hold the festival wristband to the sensor again. Finished! These steps will also be legible on the terminal. Note: You can simply transfer the remaining balance back online from home after the festival!

        Only use the designated EC/CREDIT CARD terminals to top up with an EC/CREDIT CARD

        Step 1: Select top up
        Step 2: Hold the festival wristband to the sensor
        Step 3: Choose amount
        Step 4: Complete the payment at the EC terminal
        Step 5: Hold the festival wristband to the sensor again
        Step 6: Celebrate!

    • Is there an activation fee?

      Yes, a one-off activation fee of €1.50 will be charged the first time the festival wristband is loaded. This will be automatically deducted from the top-up credit.
      Example: A credit of €50 is topped up for the first time, so €48.50 is available on the festival wristband.
      There is no additional charge for each additional charge!

      Remaining credit can be transferred back online free of charge within 14 days after the festival from 20.07.22, 6 p.m.

    • How does the payment work on the festival area?

      Very simple: You order from the sales staff, hold your festival wristband up to the reader and enjoy your drinks, food and merchandising items straight away!

    • Is the chip at the festival wristband waterproof?

      Yes! You can bathe in the lake without any problems!

    • My chip is broken. What do I have to do?

      Contact a trouble shooter from GET (provider of the cashless system). He will help you immediately with this problem. Trouble shooter should be always available at the cashless service point or at the entrance.

    • Will I get my remaining credit back after the festival?

      Up to 14 days after the festival, you can simply transfer your remaining credit back online from home. The reverse transaction is free of charge and possible from a remaining balance of €2. A maximum of €200 per festival wristband can be refunded.
      Attention: Free repayments can only be made to a Euro IBAN account, the transaction fee is automatically deducted from all accounts with foreign currency.

    • Is camping included to the cashless payment system?

      At Camping A you pay cashless also except the deposit for Rent-a-tent. The camping areas B and C are not belonging to Sea You Festival so you can pay with cash regularly.

  • Arrival & Directions
    • Train or bus:

      If you arrive by train or a coach company, please get off at Freiburg main station....

      Afterwards, you have the opportunity to get to the festival area with our shuttle buses.

    • Car:
      • General:

        Our festival location is located directly on the A5 motorway (Freiburg-Nord exit). Please follow the signs to your campsites or to the (free) parking slots.

      • Arrival | Getting to the festival area (all guests with Sat. / Sun. day ticket OR festival ticket WITHOUT Camping) AND Camping A by car

        By car: Via the A5 motorway, take the Freiburg – Nord exit, please follow the Sea You signs from there.

        Our parking spaces cost €10 per day (Friday, July 15th, Saturday, July 16th, Sunday, July 17th). For guests who from Friday, 15.07. up to and including Monday, 18.07. park in the car park, the car park costs a one-time fee of €10. Guests who enter the car park several times a day must pay €10 each time they enter.

      • Arrival | Camping B (Silbersee) and Camping C (Tunisee):

        The car journey to campsites B and C is from the north and south via the A5 motorway, please take the FREIBURG-NORD exit

        From here follow the signs to campsites B + C

    • Plane:

      The nearest airport is Basel / Euro-Airport (BSL).
      Afterwards, use the public transport to Freiburg main station. (Bus & train)

      Other airports nearby:
      Zurich (ZRH), Strasbourg (SXB), Karlsruhe Baden-Baden (FKB), Stuttgart (STR).

    • Shuttle Bus:

      Arrival Freiburg HBF – Festival & back:
      This year for the first time on our new faster bus route.
      Throughout the weekend, several shuttle buses run at frequent intervals from Freiburg main station (from the adjacent "ZOB" central bus station) directly to the festival site. The journey takes about 20 minutes, the ticket for the shuttle bus costs €7 per day and per person (return trip) or €19 for the three-day bus ticket (Fri. + Sat. + Sun.) .

    • Is it possible to visit my friends on another campground?

      Unfortunately it is not possible to switch between camping A, B or C due to limited capacities.

    • Can I come with a camper or van?

      At Camping A we provide an extra area for campers or large vans. The ticket includes access to Camping A (where showers etc. are located) and is valid for max. 5 people. All people belonging to one ticket have to stay in one vehicle. It is not possible to stay in a tent close to the camper or sleep somewhere else. In case your vehicle can host only three people, you have to buy two regular camping tickets for your other friends or buy a ticket for an extra vehicle. Please make sure that everybody has its own ticket to enter the festival area. The caravan ticket is only valid with a ticket for the festival, no matter which category. If you don’t have a festival ticket, it can’t be purchased at the box office in case it is already sold out, which makes your camping ticket invalid (no refund). The caravan ticket includes a 15,- € trash deposit and will be refunded once you’ll return three full trash bags.

    • How many Camping A tickets do I have to buy?
    • Can I drive close to my camping spot to unload my car?

      Unfortunately not, please drive straight to the parking lot and then carry your stuff to the campground. We suggest bringing trolleys or barrows, this can help a lot even though you have to push them on grass.

    • How does the refund of the trash deposit work?

      The ticket for camping A includes 5, - € per person as trash deposit. When you check out you have to bring a full trash bag and the token you got when you checked in to get back the 5,- €. Extra trash bags are available at any time for free. Tickets for Camping B and C don’t include a trash deposit, so nothing will be paid back.

    • How much space do I have?

      Every camper gets about 3,5m² for its tent. Please make sure to bring appropriate camping equipment. Once you arrive with a group you can add your plots. Just check that you occupy the tents as optimal as possible. Pavilions are not allowed due to security reasons. You can bring umbrellas or awnings instead.

    • Can we reserve an area for our friends who will arrive later?

      Whoever wants to camp together should arrive together and set up the tents next to each other. In case this is not possible the ones who arrive first should bring the other ones tent to set it up already. Please understand that there is no other way. Watch out, at Camping A: ask your friends if they are located at A1 or A2.

    • Is it free to take a shower?

      At Camping A we provide container with toilets and showers for free. At Camping B and C are real sanitary facilities with showers and toilets as well. The use is free at Camping C but the owners at Camping B are taking a fee for using the shower.

    • Is there any electricity on the campgrounds?

      Unfortunately not.

    • Is there a shop or a restaurant on the campground?

      You can buy food and drinks on all campgrounds within the regular hours. At Camping A local clubs take care of the catering and offer breakfast, barbeque food and many other things to eat and drink. It is possible to buy the most needed sanitary products here or charge your cellphones for 2.-€. Furthermore you can charge them at Stage 7 at the festival.

      • At Camping B (Silbersee / www.camping-freiburg.net) and Camping C (Tunisee / www.tunisee.de) the individual house rules are relevant, please check the websites for more information.
      • We don’t want to cut down on your fun but we have to make sure (next to safety related reasons) that the neighborhood is happy and not bothered too much because of the noise.
    • Can I bring my animal?

      Dogs and other animals are not allowed at the festival campground. First of all this rule is made to protect your animal! Please appreciate this, thank you.

    • Am I allowed to sell stuff or offer certain services at the campgrounds?

      Without a written permission by the promotor it is forbidden to offer any kind of goods on the campgrounds. If so you have to bear the consequences.

    • Are there lockers at the festival or campsites:

      This year we are providing you with lockers from our partner MOBILE LOCKER in different sizes at Campsite A and at the festival. Rental times and locker sizes are selected at the terminal and paid conveniently without cash using an EC or credit card.

      Other advantages of Mobile Lockers
      • Unlimited access to your valuables during the specified opening times
      •You can charge your mobile phones, cameras, etc. with the VOLT locker.
      • As a "key" you will receive a QR code that you can easily share with friends.

      The lockers can be rented on site by the day. We recommend that you book your personal locker at campsite A in advance online, as capacity is limited. In addition, you can leave your belongings at the MOBILE LOCKER lockers at the festival (online advance booking possible).

    • Can I rent a tent that has already been built?

      Yes, but only at Camping A.

      2-Man-Tent = 60 € (+ Fee)
      4-Man-Tent = 120 € (+ Fee)
      6-Mann-Tent = 180€ (+ Fee)

      Tickets are calculated per tent (not per person).
